Kashmir: Controversial deaths caused by tension – BBC News

Since the Indian government repealed the special situation in Kashmir six weeks after the repeal, the region remains volatile and tense. Cellular networks and internet lines are disrupted. Political leaders are under arrest.

Tens of thousands of troops are deploying the region. There have been clashes between anti-government protesters and security forces. In such events the number of the dead is counted and how they died.
