4.5 Rock earthquake size parts of South Texas

Texas felt that the Earth was moving in parts of South Texas last night, hitting an earthquake of 4.5 size outside San Antonio.

According to New Duezwick, the 4.5 -size earthquake was stuck at 9:30 pm on Wednesday. The center of the earthquake was about 12 miles east northeast of Fols City, Texas. Falls City is about 45 minutes from San Antonio.

Early on Thursday morning, there was a much smaller earthquake that felt outside Stockdem. People are far away as Killin.

According to Dailymail, there is a 36 percent chance of 3 or more in the region.

Fortunately, no one was injured and there are no reports of any harm.

Is cracking responsible for Texas earthquakes?

Earthquakes are still rare in Texas, but they were increasing, some to break as a cause. According to Dailymail, disposal of wastewater produced during cracking can be the reason behind it.

Experts did not confirm whether the City Fols City earthquake was linked to breaking, but this city is located in the Eagle Ford Sakhr, known for the production of oil and gas.

Texas is the largest producer of raw oils and natural gas in the United States, based on an evaluation of 2023 data by the US Energy Information Administration.
