Hidden cameras capture Thai tigers – BBC News
This year, 79 tigers have been captured by hidden cameras in Thailand’s Thungyai-Huai Kha Khaeng forest, which has risen by more than 70% since 13 years ago. Forests make up half of the country’s tiger population. According to the WWF, the number of wild tigers has begun to gradually increase globally. Tiger populations are stable or increasing in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Russia and China. About 3,900 tigers remain, but in some places, in many Southeast Asian countries, the number of tigers is declining.
