An earthquake that shakes the residents of the San Juan Islands, Pelingham

Several residents of the San Juan Islands were given an invitation to early waking up when the 4.5 earthquake was measured on the Richter scale on Monday morning.

The American Geological Survey (USGS) says that TEMBLOR, which was recorded at 5:02 am and focused on about six miles east OCS, was felt by many in the Belingham region and north in Vancouver and British Colombia and in the far south of Seattle.

USGs officials reported that the earthquake was a depth of 16.6 km and did not pay a tsunami.

No damage has been reported and seismologists say that the threat of any major final tremors may be reduced now.

The earthquake followed recently recorded in the area, including one with a size of 3.2, which struck six miles from Snoqualmie on February 27, and Shaker 2.7, which was struck near the autumn city three days ago.
