Many new school buildings can collapse in an earthquake

New Madrid – At the New Madrid Museum, there is an earthquake simulation where visitors get a playing engineer. At their disposal there are cylindrical wooden sticks and rectangular panels that can be built in simple buildings.

Schools in what is known as the seismic zone in the new Madrid. The school evaluation program affiliated with Missouri Safety Committee provides free and voluntary evaluation sites on the site to revive school buildings and provinces facilities.

Three areas in southeast Missouri have reports commissioned. Although they are about a decade of age, the reports have not been published at all and most buildings are still being used.
