The free field borders (FF) were previously developed to repeat the free (infinite) field in simulating the problems of loading the earthquake. Although it can result in accurate results under certain circumstances, it has been observed that major problems can occur if the substance behavior near the border is very wrong or includes periodic features, or if the borders are located near the field of interest. To treat inaccuracy resulting from the use of traditional FF borders, a new technology is proposed: free fields linked. This technology combines the principles of both the standard of the earthquake limits (i.e., of the restricted degree (TD) and FF limits) to accommodate the loading of earthquakes on the field borders in a direct and economic way. The proposed solution was tested using one and two -dimensional standards and an advanced foundation model. The results show a significant improvement in the accuracy of the traditional FF borders in the modeling of the surface settlements and the calculated energy that was launched, as well as a significant improvement in the arithmetic efficiency on the TD borders in modeling asymmetric problems.
