The earthquake was reported in Toxbury on Friday morning

TEWKSBRY – Simple ground reflux was reported in the town this morning not far from the 4.8 earthquake center that shook the Central Jersey on April 5, 2024.

According to the United States' geological survey, a 1.8 -sized tremor occurred at 8:26 am near Cold Spring Lane and Homstead Road a few miles northeast Oldwick.

The earthquake last year is focused near the Turnpike Old Old, Hill and Dale Road intersection a few miles northwest of the tremor today.

No damage was reported. The tremor occurred about 90 minutes before a tree fell on a school bus on the Fairmont road.
