A fatal earthquake of Myanmar, Thailand

The 7.7 Southeast Asia earthquake shook, killing more than 140. The earthquake center was near Mandalay, Myanmar.

An earthquake of 7.7 set the size of Southeast Asia at lunch on Friday, killing at least three people in Thailand and dropping multiple buildings in Myanmar, prompting the military -run government to declare a state of emergency in multiple areas.

The New York Times reported that the strong earthquake, which had a center in central Myanmar, about 13 miles from Mandalay, the second largest city in Myanmar, at approximately 12:50 pm local time. This was followed by several tremors, including a 6.4 -sized tremor that occurred after only 11 minutes.

In Bangkok, Thailand, about 900 miles from the earthquake center, a high high building collapsed, killing at least three people and touching 81 workers believed to be trapped in the rubble. The video showed a skyscraper crash on the floor as the crowds near the smoke columns ran.

The National Institute of Emergency Medicine said that 320 workers were on the site when the building collapsed.

The earthquake dropped the buildings throughout Myanmar, including a section of a mosque in the town of Tinjo, killing at least three people. Local media reported that at least two people died and about 20 were injured in the collapse of a hotel in the town of Aung Ban. Two bridges, including the railway bridge, and the road bridge were destroyed.

The Military Military Government announced the state of emergency in six regions.
