The king sends a message of condolence after the Myanmar earthquake

King Charles III sent his condolences to the people of Myanmar after a deadly Friday earthquake.

In a message about social media, King Charles talked about the shock and sadness he and the queen felt towards the earthquake, which killed more than 1,600 people.

“I know that the people of Myanmar still bear a lot of hardship and tragedy in your life, and I have long admired your elasticity and unusual spirit.”

He added: “In these difficult and separate times, my wife and I sent the deepest of our potential sympathy to all those who have suffered from a deep tragedy of the loss of their loved ones, homes and precious livelihoods.”

Buckingham Palace said that the 76 -year -old king canceled a trip to Birmingham on Friday, based on medical advice. He spent a short time in the hospital the day before.

Clarence House, his residence in London, left on Friday morning to travel to his property in Glosstershere.
