India sent relief materials, rescue teams and medical equipment in five military aircraft to Myanmar to help the 7.7 earthquake victims, killing more than 1,600 people and wounding nearly 3,000 people.

India launched the relief mission – bearing the “Brahma Operation” as a quick response to the earthquake that struck Myanmar and Thailand on Friday (March 28).

New Delhi sent relief materials, medicines, a search and rescue team from 80 members of the National Disaster Responsibility Power (NDRF) and military field hospitals to Myanmar in three C-130J aircraft and C-17 Globemaster.

Officials said the specialized rescue team from the Para Brigade in the Fiftieth Indian Army (i) was quickly deployed in Myanmar.

The team, which includes 118 employees, including medical units and communications, fell in the capital of Myanmar NiB Tao on Saturday (March 29). The officials said the team will focus mainly on the rescue operations in Mandalay.

“Two C-17 aircraft have landed with 118 members of the Indian Army Hospital, including women and child care services and 60 tons of relief materials in Myanmar. With these five flights from India, it landed in Myanmar today.”
