Size earthquake 5.6 shake Punjab, KP regions

Arie News stated that parts of Pakistan had a 5.6 -magnitude earthquake on Thursday morning.

According to the details, the tremors felt the earthquake in parts of Punjab, Khyber Bakhtongua.

The earthquake center is located in the Hindus Kush region in Afghanistan, at a depth of 69 km.

Despite the moderate size, tremors were widely felt across the northern and central parts of Pakistan.

The tremors were reported in Upper Dir, Chitral, Shangla, Buner, Bajaur and GHIZER, along with the main urban centers including Islamabad, Rawalbandi, Lahore, Gajorat, Taxila, and Wah Cantt. In many areas, the residents rushed from homes and buildings in fear while shook the Earth by reciting Kalma-E-Tayyaba.

This incident comes just two weeks after feeling strong tremors in Islamabad, Peshawar, and other parts of the KP, which prompted similar scenes of panic and prayer between the population.

Seismologists continue to monitor the region closely, which is exposed to seismic activity because of its proximity to tectonic rift lines.

Earlier in April 12, an earthquake measured 5.5 on the Richter scale on charges of Islamabad and the cities of Khaybar Bakhtongua (KP).

The National Solidarity Center (NSMC) said that the earthquakes were perceived in Islamabad, Rawalpindi Swat, Manshara, Sawabi, Mardan, Lakki Marwat and other KP cities.

The Tremors Were Also Felt in Karak, Chiniot, Mianwali, Hafizabad, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala. Sangla Hill, Safdarabad, Pindi Batian and Attock.

The earthquake center was in the northwest of Rawalpindi and the depth was 12 km.
