The latest operations of the MSF organization in Myanmar

Currently, MSF teams focus on providing safe drinking water, sanitation, shelter, non -food materials, mental health support and medical assistance. Needs assessments are still ongoing in certain areas.

Mental health

In Mandalay, our teams trained more than 200 volunteers (including professors, teachers, medical students, doctors and nurses) on psychological first aid. These volunteers now offer psychological first aid, group sessions, advice, and children's activities.

Water and sanitation

Our teams prepare toilets and install manual washing basins, water taps, pressure pumps, water tanks, and soap distributed. We have also regained more than 200 wells and installed more than 20 water tanks in damaged hospitals as well as restoring electricity and helping to regulate waste management.

Medical care

Mobile medical teams offer consultations in temporary shelters, including monasteries, to treat cases ranging from common diseases to chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure. MSF teams are running mobile clinics in eight locations inside the city and the Mandalay region, as well as in two locations in the city of Saging and in four villages in Lake Anal.

Distribution of supplies
