Myanmar Junta was accused of storing aid while local groups are scrambling to respond to the earthquake

When Merridith Bon and her team withdrew a pregnant woman from the ruins of her collapsed house, she was already besieged for several days.

“We tried to save her child, but that was not possible because she suffered from infections,” said Ms. Bonn, the medical worker who spent nearly a decade in Myanmar.
