On Friday at 12:59 pm, an earthquake reached 3.6 miles west southwest of Laupāhoehoe on the big island and at a depth of 19 miles below sea level.

The earthquake had no clear impact on the volcano of Mona Lua or Clawian volcano, according to the Hawaiian Berkan Observatory.

Based on the severity of the earthquake, there is no damage to buildings or infrastructure, although the population in the area may have felt shook.
