The Republic of Korea and the WHO signed a new Memorandum of Understanding, committing $ 6 million for 24 countries in the African region in COVID-19 PCR test kits

A new memorandum of cooperation followed the recent invitation by Dr. Tedros ig Moon Jae-in, President of the Republic of Korea, during which the Director-General of the WHO expressed the need for additional support to increase the response to COVID-19 in the African region. The Memorandum of Understanding provides for an in-kind contribution of $ 6 million in polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests / extraction kits to be delivered to 24 African countries in the coming months.
