Caliente, Nevada (ABC4) – An earthquake of 4.8 hit the Caliente area, Nevada around 1 am on Friday.

It was a light earthquake 25 miles southwest of Caliente according to reports, but the residents were still able to feel it.

“I was in the kitchen cooking cookies to sell our courtyard this week, suddenly there was a roar!” One of the residents told ABC4.com.

The earthquake had a three -mile depth, and it could be felt for approximately 60 miles.

Another resident said: “We are used to the next trains and outside, and this is not – I said, as I say, is a sedation of a person born here, but this was not like this. You might feel that he is shaking the house.”

She also said that she had a dog afraid of thunderstorms and other loud noise, so she was waiting to stop.
