Cal State Fullerton hosts version 7.0 of its earthquake simulation software

Newswise – The Cal State Fullerton Police Department, CSUF Office of Emergency Management and Continuity, and the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) are teaming up to bring an interactive earthquake simulator to the CSUF Quad Campus on October 15 from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This event is part of the Great California ShakeOut Tour from October 13-16, and allows students, staff, faculty and the public to experience and prepare for earthquakes ranging from a magnitude 3.0 to a magnitude 7.0 earthquake in a safe and controlled environment.

Emergency management experts will be on site to answer questions and provide resources about earthquake preparedness, ensuring the Titan community is equipped with practical knowledge to stay safe.

This is the only stop in Los Angeles County or Orange County for the earthquake simulator, which is also scheduled to make stops at UC Davis, the San Francisco Zoo (October 14) and Waterfront Park in San Diego (October 16).
