Bayat Foundation donates hundreds of tents to victims of the Samanjan earthquake Ariana News

As part of its ongoing humanitarian assistance, Bayat Foundation distributed hundreds of tents to earthquake-affected families in the Kholm and Firouz Nakhshir districts of Semanghan Province.

Officials from the foundation said that their humanitarian efforts will continue and that more affected families will receive assistance.

Hajjallah Nouri, representative of the Bayat Foundation, said: “Today, the Bayat Foundation is distributing 100 tents to the victims of the recent earthquake in the Kholm and Firouz Nakhshir districts of Semangshan.”

Right now, the most urgent needs of those affected by the earthquake are shelter, rebuilding homes, food and medicine – aid that victims stress is essential.

One of the victims said: “Our lives have been destroyed. We thank Bayat Foundation for standing with us and bringing us tents.”

Another added: “The earthquake completely destroyed our house. We are asking for more help. We hope that the Bayat Foundation will continue its support and help rebuild people's homes.”

Local officials in the Kholm region also welcomed the humanitarian aid provided by the Bayat Foundation, and described its role in supporting disaster victims and reducing poverty as great.

According to the Kholm District Governor, the recent earthquake completely destroyed 200 residential homes and partially damaged more than 1,000 other homes in the area. The earthquake also killed nine people and injured 60 others.
