ASTANA – Kazakhstan has sent 18 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan to help those affected by the recent devastating earthquake, reaffirming the country's commitment to humanity and regional solidarity.

The aid package, which totals 18 tons and consists of 34 categories of basic goods, includes medicines, medical tools, beds, tents and other vital supplies allocated from the government's material reserve. The Ministry of Health also formed and dispatched a team of medical professionals to provide qualified assistance to the victims.

The humanitarian shipment is delivered by an aircraft belonging to the Ministry of Defense, with loading and unloading operations carried out by members of the military unit affiliated with the Ministry of Emergency Situations to ensure immediate dispatch, the Ministry’s press service reported on November 13.

The aid delivery was organized with the support of the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development (KazAID).
