This second issue of the Kunar and Jalalabad Earthquake Response Community Voices newsletter, covering the period from September 22 to October 30, continues to serve as a real-time interagency accountability platform, capturing and amplifying the voices of earthquake-affected communities in Kunar, Nangarhar and Laghman provinces. It aims to inform humanitarian responders, the Inter-Cluster Coordination Group (ICCG), the Inter-Cluster Coordination Team (ICCT), the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) and affected communities by highlighting the evolving priorities, needs and perceptions of communities as the response moves from emergency to early recovery.

To ensure that affected people remain at the heart of decision-making, the Working Group on Accountability to Affected People, led by UNFPA, continues to lead the Task Force on Community Engagement for Earthquake Response. This task force brings together humanitarian partners, including IOM, WFP, WHO, AADA, AYSO, PU-AMI, CHA, DRC and Mgtwell, to coordinate community engagement, strengthen system-wide accountability, and enhance two-way communication with affected people. Building on the first edition, this tour integrates community insights to guide adaptive programming and advance comprehensive recovery planning.
