NEWS: Thousands of documents from two criminal investigations against sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have been released in the United States. The files include details of Epstein's contact book, revealing new details of his association with the rich and powerful. The first folder released on the Justice Department's website contains photos taken during an FBI raid of Epstein's Manhattan home. One image shows black-gloved hands holding a piece of paper with the address of Epstein's former headquarters. The files include many new photos. Some show former US President Bill Clinton, apparently in a hot tub and even a swimming pool. Another shows Mr. Clinton with Epstein. Survivors of Epstein's abuse have never accused the former president. Other photos show Epstein with Mick Jagger and Microsoft boss Bill Gates. Having a name or image in the files is not an indication of wrongness. Many identified in other publications have denied any wrongdoing involving Epstein. There are new photos of Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's former partner and confidante, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking. Epstein was convicted of soliciting prostitution in 2008. Later charges did not go to trial, as he was found dead in a New York City jail in 2019. The files were released by the Department of Justice on the day of the legal deadline for making the information public. However, the US Attorney General said that not all files are being released.
