And, Michelle, what can we expect in the coming days? I don’t know. I would love to be on the slopes, with all the snow we have. right. And we’re actually looking at the rain chances that will accumulate, even for the mountains, and we’ll have a chance to see some of that rain before it transitions to some snow there. Heavy rain on Wednesday. A change from rain to a short period of snow is possible. Some freezing rain could even mix in as time goes on during Wednesday afternoon and evening, so the ice total could raise a concern for black ice. We are concerned that we are seeing some slippery rides that could develop into tomorrow night. So, we have a couple of opportunities here tomorrow morning. Our temperatures are near freezing, so all the rest of what we get tonight is going into the mountains and western foothills again, black ice and then chances of rain with thunderstorms building up across Tennessee. Now, all that rain won’t make it east. It seems very light when it reaches us. Temperatures are currently 44 degrees with a high of 42 degrees. In Greensboro, we got 44 degrees at the highest point, 43 degrees in Winston-Salem, and 36 degrees in West Jefferson. So it’s still out of those 30s now for people in the upper country. You can see winter weather reports mainly in the north. This is where they have more moisture that now coats as snow and a little mix. So we will keep an eye out for this possibility. What happened to us is similar to what happened last weekend in terms of this big drop that we were digging. But the setting is different, isn’t it? We have warmer temperatures. We have temperatures that will be in the 40s and upper 30s tomorrow ahead of the system. We also expect to see how deep these holes are and how quickly everything will line up with rain chances tomorrow? Some of our forecast models have a lot of that energy moving too far to the east, and that puts us in a position where we can only get some light precipitation totals, and then that quick transition to maybe some snow and sleet tomorrow evening. It will be quick and it looks like the amounts and totals should be much lighter. However, temperatures will be cold enough to support black ice and travel concerns. So we have two time frames. Early Wednesday morning, as icy travel from all that we have left from today’s thaw is still an issue. We also have concerns about Wednesday night. If we get that mix it will happen in the mid-evening hours for people in the mountains and foothills, and then on Thursday morning until we see temperatures eventually get back into the mid-30s and above. Also on Friday morning, all the rest will raise some concerns about black ice on those higher surfaces. Our main impact days are Wednesday as well as Thursday, so we have two WXII 12 weather impact days for rain and snow chances, but also slippery travel. You can see that the potential for snow is very limited, and it looks like there will be pockets where those western highlands of the mountains are that could get a little bit more. This is normal. This is what we would expect with a system like this. But that front, and how it positions itself when we reach you tomorrow, will help determine that. It looks like our main impacts will be related to travel and black ice. You’re not too late, but you’re definitely going to have to deal with some issues with getting the kids back to school, maybe getting to some of your appointments, and your temperatures are in the 30s. We have teens to start your morning tomorrow, and then work our way through hilly conditions into the upper 30s in the afternoon.
