Iran has stepped up attacks on energy infrastructure in the Gulf and there have been more strikes on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, further threatening oil and gas supplies and a global energy crisis. The International Energy Agency has ordered the release of the largest accumulated oil reserves in its history in an attempt to stabilize global oil prices, which have soared since the start of attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran. 32 countries have agreed to release about 400 million barrels of crude oil to world markets. In Oman, oil storage tanks at the port of Salalah caught fire after drone strikes were reported. The UAE and Qatar reported further Iranian missile and drone strikes. Israel launched another wave of attacks on what it said were Hezbollah targets in Lebanon in response to rockets fired into Israel.
