President Trump has stepped up his threat to destroy Iran’s power plants, bridges and infrastructure ahead of his deadline. Trump said that if Iran does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz, “the whole country could be pulled out overnight, and that night could be tomorrow night.” The US leader said that all of Iran’s bridges and power plants could be destroyed in four hours, repeating his threat to return Iran to the “Stone Age”. He also said he still hoped to reach an agreement with Iran, and said he was actively involved in negotiations to reach the agreement. He was also asked about widespread criticism of Trump’s recent post on Truth Social, in which he called the Iranians “crazy savages” and urged them to “open the f***** strait.” Several US politicians and commentators have suggested that the president is “crazy” and “broken”. Trump said he had heard no criticism. In Israel, at least eight people have been injured in several locations around Tel Aviv following Iranian attacks.
