A 4.6 magnitude earthquake shakes Tehran-Ina

Wana (May 13) – A 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck the border area between Tehran and Mazandaran provinces moments ago, and tremors were felt in several parts of the capital and neighboring cities.

According to local reports, the earthquake was felt in the northern and southeastern areas of Tehran, including Pardis, Varamin, Pakdasht, and parts of Shemiranat. Residents reported noticeable tremors in some areas.

Earlier in the day, a separate 3.4-magnitude earthquake shook the city of Pardis, raising concerns among residents in eastern Tehran province.

Following the earthquake, the Iranian Red Crescent Society announced that all relief bases and emergency response teams in Tehran Province were placed on full alert and ready to respond if necessary.

To date, no official reports of injuries or serious damage have been issued, and assessments of affected areas are still ongoing.

Tehran shook again at around 00:28 local time, following the previous seismic event in the region.

A second earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 struck Tehran at 00:28 local time, at a depth of 8 kilometers, according to preliminary seismic reports.

A third earthquake measuring 3.4 was recorded near Pardis

A third earthquake with a magnitude of 3.4 struck the area near Pardis at 00:32 local time, according to preliminary seismic reports.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
