Michela Paris and Stefano Riccione, with their adorable children of 4 and 5, Emma and Diego, are the protagonists of this film, which is part of a wider project called La Thurabilità della bellezza that brings together three stories from the earthquake with many characters and languages ​​to be spread across different platforms. This project aims to keep the attention alive on those residents of central Italy who are still living in precarious conditions after 4 years or have not been able to return to their lands, because the reconstruction has not yet begun. Mandolesi spent a year with the Riccioni family, from Spring 2017 to Spring 2018, when, twelve months after the terrible event that destroyed more than 87 holes between Marche, Umbria and Lazio, they began rebuilding the stables for their animals and their new home, which they would be able to complete thanks to Donate from a private individual.

At a certain point, Michela won a prize for biodiversity in agri-food, and that’s when we understand that the Riccionis cattle are special animals, as sheep of the typical Sopravissana breed in the Monti Sibillini region are at risk of extinction. During the most difficult post-earthquake period, they were able to increase their herds, from 25 to 300 heads, to produce high-quality wool, milk and meat.

Another hero in the documentary is landscapes, especially mountains: Mendoli depicts them over and over again in all their beauty and roughness.
