Coronavirus: UK Buyers Said to Buy Responsibly – BBC News

UK retailers have been told they are “liable” and thought of others as NHS staff after panic over the outbreak of coronavirus outbreaks.

Secretary of the Environment George Eustic said there is more than enough food in the area, but the challenge for stores is to keep them modest.

The supermarkets have come because of increased shopping.

Meanwhile, UK cafes, pubs and restaurants have closed as part of measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

“We should really be ashamed of it,” said NHS England Medical Director Stephen Powis, who said panic shoppers are removing the supplies they need from NHS staff.

“These are the people that we or our loved ones should take care of in the coming weeks.”
