Christchurch shootings: Suspect published manifesto before attack – BBC News

Direct video of a gun sent to Facebook, shot with a camera mounted on his head. The footage showed men, women and children inside the Al-Noor mosque clearly firing. Police called on citizens not to share films that were “terribly concerned” on the network. Facebook said it had removed the gunman’s Facebook and Instagram accounts and was working to remove any copies of the footage. He was accused of publishing a manifesto of the alleged attack before the attack, explaining his intentions, identifying himself as a 28-year-old Australian citizen and backing the far-right and anti-immigrant ideology. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison described the man as an “extreme and right-wing” terrorist. Police Commissioner Bush confirmed that the man was not previously familiar with security services in New Zealand and Australia. Subscribe HERE .
