The UK coronavirus testing system is struggling to meet demand – BBC News

Coronabirus testing network officials have apologized after proving that they are making efforts to respond to the system’s request, and have asked some people to travel hundreds of miles to get tested. Laboratories in the UK have been described as “maximum” per day with 170,000 tests per day. Baroness Harding, head of the NHS Test and Trace in England, said the situation was “very sorry” but that the vast majority could still get appointments in their regions. The UK government has said no one will have to travel more than 75 kilometers from Friday to take the test. Huw Edwards presents this report to our health editor Hugh Pym. Please subscribe HERE .
