Coronavirus: India observes a 14-hour quirk – BBC News

More than 1 billion people in India have been urged to stay indoors for 14 hours in an attempt to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

Announcing the ceasefire last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said it would be a test for citizens to assess their ability to tackle the regional virus.

To date, 315 cases have been registered in India.
