Coronavirus: Prince Charles is positive but stays in good health & #8211; BBC News

The Prince of Wales has confirmed a positive result for coronavirus, as confirmed by Clarence House.

Prince Charles, 71, shows mild symptoms “but otherwise continues to be in good health,” a spokesman said.

The Duchess of Cornwall, 72, has been tested but has no virus.

Clarence House says Charles and Camilla are now self-isolated in Balmoral, adding that the prince has “been home” for the past few days.

An official statement said: “In keeping with the advice of the government and the doctor, the Prince and Duchess are now self-isolated in Scotland.

“The tests were conducted by the NHS in Aberdeenshire, where they met the criteria required for testing.

“It is not possible to know who the virus caught the prince because of his commitments to public service in recent weeks.”
