Updates Cervical Cancer Removal Initiative
February: Gathering international support to eliminate cervical cancer

On February 5, the WHO Executive Board recommended the 73rd World
Health Assembly adopts draft Global Acceleration Strategy
removal
cervical cancer as a public health problem and called it his own
implementation. The proposed resolution calls on Member States for implementation
strategy, calling for the support of international organizations
and other relevant stakeholders, including the request
for the Director-General to support Member States in this endeavor.
WHA will consider the resolution when it convenes in May 2020

in full support of strategy and resolution;

Nono Simelela, ADG and Special Advisor to the Director-General of the WHO, Dr
Tedros replied at the end of the session, thanking the delegates for
broad support and resolution of some comments
by sharing some ongoing work such as efforts with
immunization partners to meet the challenges and the HPV vaccine
price transparency.
