Iran’s top official has a warning for the US

Iran’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, Hamid Baeidinejad, warned that the United States and Iran “have a very serious conflict for everyone in the region.”
In an exclusive interview with Christiane Amanpour, the ambassador reacted to escalating tensions between the two countries as the US continues to plead guilty to Iran over its attack on two oil vessels in the Gulf of Oman.
Ambassador Baeidinejad, a senior official of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, denied the allegations, warning that the White House would “take great pains” to underestimate Iran if a military conflict arises.
Asked who was responsible for the attack, Baeidinejad told other countries in the region that “they have invested a lot of money, billions and billions of US dollars in redrafting a military conflict with Iran.”
