New coronavirus restrictions in England are aimed at preventing a complete blockade – BBC News
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson has announced a number of measures in England to prevent another complete closure. From Monday onwards, groups over the age of 6 will be banned from gathering socially anywhere, both indoors, in pubs and restaurants, as well as outside. There are a few exceptions such as schools, kindergartens, workplaces or events such as weddings and funerals. Organized team sports will also be accepted. Anyone who goes out to eat or drink will be legally required to test and monitor their contact information. The changes are for England only and will be enforced by the police. Rules have not changed in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Huw Edwards presents reports from our political editor Laura Kuenssberg and health editor Hugh Pym. Please subscribe HERE .
