XCMG unveils its first fire rescue and emergency vehicle

Since 2016, XCMG has made the development, application and enhancement of emergency and rescue vehicles a priority. By participating in major state projects to research basic theories, basic technologies and equipment design, XCMG has managed to make breakthroughs in improving poor maneuverability and low efficiency and reducing the individual function of emergency rescue equipment to improve public safety capabilities in China.

A total of 10 emergency rescue vehicles were delivered to six pilot bases. The four vehicles on the way to Golmud are JY18 and JY20 emergency fire engines, QC700 firefighting equipment truck and JY10 rescue vehicle.

The JY18 is XCMG self-developed and highly maneuverable dual-bridge multi-level device which is suitable for all terrain, suitable for emergency rescue from natural disasters including earthquakes, landslides, floods and mudslides. JY10 is a robust model designed for transporting equipment storage and equipped to treat hazardous chemical spills with dry sand as extinguishing agent. The QC700 can carry more than 700 pieces of rescue equipment from 120 classes.
