Nepal wakes up to a magnitude 6.0 earthquake, with no damage reported

An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted central Nepal Wednesday morning. The epicenter was recorded in the Ramshe district of Sindhupalchuk which was already destroyed by floods, landslides and earthquakes in 2015.

“An earthquake measuring 6.0 degrees occurred around Ramshe in the Sindhupalchuk region at 5:19 am,” the National Seismological Center wrote on Twitter minutes after the earthquakes.

The earthquake was felt in the country’s far east as well “It is an ongoing follow-up to the 2015 earthquake,” NSC Chief Seismologist Lok Bijay Adhikari confirmed to ANI over the phone.
