Coronavirus deaths are over 1,000 in the largest daily increase – BBC News

The number of deaths due to coronavirus in the UK has reached 1,019 so far after the largest increase in the day. The government has announced further measures to help businesses survive the crisis. In Italy, more than 10,000 people have now died. Some critically ill patients have been rushed to German hospitals to help extend the health services in Italy.
