Prime Minister Boris Johnson has called on citizens to “discipline and decide” to comply with the new coronavirus rules announced on Tuesday. He warned on a television broadcast in the country that the government could go further if people do not adhere to them. With new measures in place in the UK, Mr Johnson’s warning rules could last up to six months. In England, the rules for covering the face were expanded and the number of people allowed in marriages was halved. Bars, restaurants and catering halls will have to close BST until 22:00, and fines for breaking the rules will also rise to 200 euros in the first offense. Hospitality sites will also have to close early in Scotland and Wales – but Scotland has gone further, banning people from visiting other people’s homes.
