Breonna Taylor: Police will charge but not as a result of death – BBC News
A police officer has been charged with assaulting a black woman in the U.S. state of Kentucky. Breonna Taylor, 26, a hospital worker, was shot several times when officers stormed her home on March 13. Brett Hankison has been indicted, not for the death of Mrs. Taylor, but for being “at risk of involuntary manslaughter” at the home of a neighbor in Louisville. The other two agents involved were not charged. Under Kentucky law, someone is guilty of pure danger if they commit an act that shows “indifference to the value of human life.” This lower-level offense can come with a five-year sentence for each count. Mr. Hankison was charged with three counts. #BBCOS #BBCOutsideSource Please subscribe HERE .
