California fires threaten Paradise and other towns in 2018

Two years after experiencing the worst fire in California history, the town of Paradise is threatened again, this time by the fatal North Complex Fire.

Butte County Police officials issued an evacuation order for Bolga and Konko and an evacuation warning for the city of Paradise, most of which was destroyed in the 2018 camp fire that resulted in 85 deaths and the loss of more than 18,000 buildings.

In Shasta County, strong winds were reported on Monday, threatening to ignite a fast-moving forest fire Sunday afternoon near the rural community of Igo, about nine miles southwest of Redding.
