There is evidence of greater confusion among people about the new Covid restrictions in the north-east of England. The confusion was compounded by Prime Minister Boris Johnson and a government minister, who did not provide specific answers on the details of the new cuts. Boris Johnson apologized for giving a misleading response to the cuts after another minister, Gillian Keegan, was unable to respond. The new rules cover areas of North East England and prohibit the mixing of houses inside the house including pubs and restaurants. It has also been announced that in some parts of Wales another half a million people will be subject to stricter restrictions from Thursday.
