The largest earthquake swarm was at a magnitude of 4.9 on the Richter scale.

Most of these major events were on northeastern flaws.

None of the earthquakes that occurred in the Imperial Valley were anywhere near the San Andreas Fault.

“They are in the Brawley seismic zone – the network of small faults that connects the San Andreas and Imperial faults.

The likelihood of a larger earthquake in this region is currently significantly greater than normal.

This comes a few days after two earthquakes jolted an area along the California Ring of Fire.

Officials said two earthquakes with a magnitude of 3.4 struck near the same area in Northern California within hours of each other over the weekend.

The United States Geological Survey recorded the two earthquakes on Sunday within six hours of each other.

The US Geological Survey said that earthquakes with a magnitude of three to four degrees on the Richter scale “are significantly felt by people inside, especially on the upper floors of buildings.”

The first earthquake was recorded less than 6.2 miles northeast of Milpitas at about 3.54 PM local time at a depth of 3.3 miles.

According to CBS SF, the earthquake was felt as far as San Francisco.

The second earthquake was recorded at a depth of 2.7 miles in the area covering the Calaveras Reservoir, according to the East Bay Times.
