Gove: No fixed date for epidemic summit – BBC News
Cabinet Minister Michael Gove wonders when the epidemic peaks and why Germany has done more tests than the UK,
Gove said the rise in death was “deeply moving, disturbing and moving.”
He says there is no fixed date like Easter when we expect to see the summit, and to reduce it “depends on the actions we all take.”
NHS England Managing Director Stephen Powis says we will first see a reduction in infections, then a reduction in hospitalizations and then a decrease in the number of deaths.
“Green shoots will last a short time,” he adds.
When testing, Dr. Harries says, “we want to test where it’s useful.”
He added that if a member of the public had a positive result for coravirus, they would not be required to take different measures.
