The first is April, and that usually means it’s time for a little fool …. But in the midst of this awful pandemic, creating a new joke story seems a little off – even if we could all do with at least one thing you’re laughing at. So what we did instead was look back at the past and the times and dig into some of our favorite photographic themes from April.
There have been some great stories in the history of photography for April Fool. We remember one from the 1980s, when Olympus claimed that the photograph was first discovered by a Japanese monk in the 18th century, more than a hundred years before Daguerre and Fox Talbot. And there was a 16-2000mm zoom for your SLR that the magazine reported will be on sale from April 1st.
But in recent years, April Fool’s Internet moves have brought a whole new level of sophistication and fun – because you can reach more people on the right day and support your fictional stories with stories and connections.
We’ve spent the past few years bringing to you what are our favorite April Fool objections for our photographers …
1. Kodachrome returns
Everyone just wants this to be true … and this was inspired news from Foblograf April 1, 2018 Fujifilm, Kodak and others re-introduce themselves silver halides that they had previously terminated. But death Kodachrome back in 2009, it was particularly painful for professionals and enthusiasts who cut their teeth on this classic yellow box emulsion.
‘Rejoice, photographers, those of us who have never been able to shoot Kodak Kodachrome after all look like they have a chance. Almost 10 years after the company announced the death of its beloved movie emulsion, Kodak has made it known to the world that Kodachrome is indeed returning to the shelves very soon after Ektachrome arrives in stores … ‘, so the news was released. If only it were true … but the special chemistry used to develop Kodachrome, which has been done on several Kodak sites around the world, is reason enough why this analog reincarnation will never happen.

2. Underwater instant camera
This one comes from 2014 from a fun team on Lomography. Instant cameras At that moment, they began their meteoric return of people’s affection – and Lomography entered the market with its own retro-inspired range of instant print models. But this Fool woe included the idea of launching an underwater instant camera, which ejected footprints while you were swimming in the pool or the sea. Called the Lomo’Instant Caribbean, it even had its own launch a movie to make the idea that was a little more credible …
“After the incredible response and enthusiasm on our Kickstarter campaign, we are thrilled to say ‘Ahoy mateys! “with the release of Lomo’sInstant Caribbean Edition! The world’s first and only dedicated underwater instant camera, Lomo’sInstant Caribbean Edition opens the door to the exciting underwater instant fun world. Explore the waters and take it for a turtle dive in Barbados or catch the waves on your next surf trip Maui! ‘- that’s how fiction started.

3. Rogge & Pott’s Re-35
This is one of the most advanced April Fool tompoolers in recent years. The RE-35 was an ingenious fraudster who claimed that the company had invented 35mm canisters that would bring your old analog SLR cameras with digital imagery. The bins came with its own patented scratch-resistant flexisensor that pulled out to replace the silver halide film and then take the image to digital memory. The RE-35 cartridge is then connected to your computer using a convenient USB connection.
pop-up message on the website now he explains everything: “Some things are too good to be true! Re-35 doesn’t really exist. We (design firm Rogge & Pott) created the Re-35 as an exercise in identity design. We invented the ‘product’ because it’s was something we had long wanted (like so many others).
We launched the website and sent “press releases” on April 1st, thinking the date would be clear, that Re35 was just desirable thinking – a classic April fool!
4. A convenient GoPro accessory
With over four million followers on Instagram, Murad OsmannThe #FollowMeTo project has become famous around the world – and many have copied it. But the problem with this selfie style is that you need a friend or assistant to get this type of portrait, which shows how you hold hands with the person holding the camera.
Last April, GoPro’s Fool solution was supposed to propose a new addition to the existing army GoPro accessories.
“We’ve all been there: scenic views, perfect light, exotic location … but you’re solo. It’s just you and your GoPro. Sure, you can frame in beautiful scenery or even snap a classic selfie, but expectations come,” so read on 2018 GoPro news release, “Your parents have been tormenting you about settling with ‘the one’ for years, and lately even your friends are starting to reject subtle germs about your independence choices. Why not continue to enjoy the journey alone, creating a sense of community?” , premium construction to meet expectations. “Not bad for $ 59.99 … would it really be anything more than pure fantasy!
5. Left-handed DSLR
Go back to 2013 and The-Digital-Picture.com he came up with a great idea for 10% of the left-handed population. It was “news” that Canon is launching a new special edition of its EOS 7D DSLR, which had a grip on the left side of the body rather than the usual right side, offering “reverse ergonomics” for long-lived southerners.
“Canon has been a world leader in innovation for 65 years – and the EOS 7D L is another innovative product that we are proud to be associated with,” said the company’s CEO.
