April Fool posts falsely state that students must repeat the school year

April Fool’s Day brought a series of fake posts claiming students would have to repeat the school year. Although many schools in the United States have closed because of the coronavirus pandemic, there is no indication they will be calling for a repeat of the school year.

Combined forces The COVID-19 pandemic and the internet became a fool this April. Jokes that used to be laughed at by friends now have the potential to mislead social media users at a time when health and public misinformation is dangerous proli &.
One trouble generating websites has been used to make dozens of false titles, including many versions of the claim that students will have to repeat the school year:
All of these posts, which are shared on Facebook, return to the problem-generating site that displays this message: “April fools!“But if users don’t click, all they see is what looks like regular news 
the title paired with a picture of a public official. In the case of the titles above, most featured a picture of the governor of the state being named.
Although many schools have closed in an effort to stop the spread of the new coronavirus causing COVID-19, we have found no indication that students will need to repeat the grade. All the countries mentioned above – Virginia. California. Tennessee. Pennsylvania. New Jersey, i Illinois – closed the schools. Some have suspended testing requirements. But no one recommended repeating the school year.
The same intrigue has created a whole host of other fake headlines, including the ones that fuel the rumors we already have Debunked.
So be it careful troublesome titles being shared on social networks. Like the fake posts about the school year, they may not be true.
