Heavy rains have disrupted life and destroyed homes in southern Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Dramatic views of flooded homes, flooded roads and floating vehicles show the extent of the damage caused by the rains. The deluge has been blamed for a depression in the Bay of Bengal, which has caused 24 centimeters of rainfall in some parts of Andhra Pradesh. Rescue teams have begun clearing low-lying areas as the weather department predicts heavy rainfall on Wednesday.
