Ethiopia’s 15 million people will need food aid by 2016 – BBC News

 



The United Nations has warned that more than 15 million people in Ethiopia will need food aid in early 2016 due to the severe drought. The lack of rain has led to a 90% reduction in harvest yields in affected areas over the years.
The Ethiopian government has put in nearly 130 million pounds to deal with the crisis, but the UN says it needs another 330 million pounds.
