Coronavirus: Deaths to close all schools in Italy – BBC News

Italy has confirmed that all schools will close 10 days after Thursday to become a coronavirus brigade.

And all professional sports, including Serie A football games, will be played behind closed doors for months.

Currently, 107 people have died of coronavirus in Italy, the most serious bronze in Europe.

Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said the health service was overwhelmed.

More than 3,000 cases are in the north, but others have been confirmed in 19 of the 20 Italian regions.
