Earthquake 4.0: 68 km southwest of Ariaga, Chase, Mexico, October 24, 2020 08:36

An average magnitude 4.0 earthquake was reported early in the morning near Pesquería Rancho Salinas, Mexico. According to the Mexican National Seismological Service (SSN), the earthquake occurred early in the morning on Saturday 24 October at 2.36 am local time at an average depth of 74 km. The magnitude and other earthquake parameters could still be changed in the coming hours as the agency continues to process seismic data. Our monitoring service in VolcanoDiscovery identified a second report from the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) that mentioned a magnitude 4.0 earthquake as well.
