Langella Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the Bismarck Arch in New Britain. It is located 11 km south of Cape Gloucester. The volcano consists of a group of 4 small basaltic Andesian cones overlapping on the lower east side of the extinct Talawe Volcano, which remains the highest volcano in Cape Gloucester in northwestern Britain. Angela’s typical activity is strombolian eruptions into Vulcan, sometimes accompanied by pyroclastic flows. Summit explosions at Angela volcano often produce shock waves.

Angela volcano, which has a record of activity only back to the 19th century, is one of the most active volcanoes in New Britain, Papua New Guinea. Angela’s frequent activity usually consists of light to moderate explosive eruptions, which are sometimes accompanied by lava flows.

The volcano consists of four small cones overlapping on the lower east side of the extinct Talawe Volcano, the highest volcano in northwest New Britain. The 2.5 km long Rectangular Talawe Crater has a large gap in the southeast; Smaller Angela volcano northeast of Tallawe Crater pierced.

Extensive pyroclastic flows reached the sea from the north and south sides of the volcano. Since the observations began, 3 crest pits were activated. The smallest and smallest, with a diameter of 150 meters, was formed in 1960.
